October Runs Through Milwaukee: Brewers Lock Up the No. 1 Seed

For the first time in franchise history, the Milwaukee Brewers have won 100 games.

And when October begins, everyone else will have to come through Milwaukee.

The Brewers reached the century mark with a 5–1 victory over Philadelphia Thursday night, officially securing the No. 1 overall seed and home-field advantage throughout the postseason.

For a franchise that has built its identity around doing more with less, this might be the most impressive regular season in Brewers history.

Now comes the part that matters most.

100 Wins

Think about that number for a minute.

The Brewers have had plenty of good teams.

They’ve won division titles, reached the postseason consistently and established themselves as one of baseball’s most reliable organizations.

But never 100 games.

Until now.

And this isn’t just a nice round number to celebrate.

Milwaukee will enter October with baseball’s best record and the postseason path running through Miller Park (sorry I will forever call it that).
