Putting him behind Misiorowski would give Milwaukee two very different looks to begin a series.

Game 3: Quinn Priester

This is where things become interesting.

Priester gives Milwaukee another quality option and could become particularly valuable if a series goes deeper.

The Brewers don’t necessarily need their third starter to throw seven innings.

Get through the opposing lineup effectively and turn things over to the bullpen.

October isn’t about individual pitching wins.

It’s about surviving the series.

Don’t Forget the Bullpen

Milwaukee doesn’t necessarily need four traditional starters in every postseason series.

Days off give managers options they don’t have during the regular season.

If Pat Murphy has an opportunity to bring Misiorowski back rather than using a fourth starter, that’s something worth considering.
